I just did a fresh install as I wanted to dual boot with Windows again. So I backed up my .config folder, which held my Chromium folder. After reinstalling #!
Okay, that's weird. After I installed extensions I use daily — crashing started once again. Seems that it's one of the extensions I use. Newest one I have is Vimium.Really, hmmmm....

Is it possible that chrome stores its files in another folder? If so, you had a clean start of chrome, whereas chromium has a long browsing history etc. So please start chromium with a clean config and see if there's still a difference.

doman,You could set a umask so that all files created in that directory have 600 permission by default.Cheers,Czar.
