Along with it not working, all of the icons on my Sidebar are now invisable, they are there and I can cli (HowTos)

Well as it says in the question title, I'm running a Lenovo-B570, I have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated card, and inside the graphics thing it says Unknown, and Standard experience, I have tried doing other things I have seen on AskUbuntu but, once I get other drivers to show up, it starts to get choppy, and a lot of my drivers stop working, not to mention my sidebar icons and such go invisi

I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 and absolutely love it , but when i go to system details it says graphics unknown, is this a problem ? i have a acer aspire 5750, and a Intel 3000 HD graphics card.There also no additional drivers to be installed, but on another computer i needed to install additional drivers and it showed the grapics card.

i am using fedora 17,I installed every codec and players ,everythings is working except Graphics

i installed xorg intel driver ,mesa library but video is very choppy not smooth:(:(

These are the problem while watching videos : 1. Horizontal Lines accross the laptop screen 2. HD videos looking like 3gp videos

I'm trying to play Amnesia on my Lenovo B570 laptop. I was able to update my graphics card and play it when I had Windows, but now I don't know how to update my graphics card probably on Ubuntu and get in running. Can anyone help? I really miss playing Amnesia):

Okay I have Ubuntu installed but am having one hell of a time trying to get it to recognize my Nvidia GeForce GT 525M graphis card. But my laptop also has intel 3000 graphics.

I am re-installing ubuntu and want to start fresh. I just want to use the intel 3000 for graphics, How can I do this?

I am able to launch amnesia all the way through the menu. After I click start new game I am able to play a little bit. I hear the guy talk, then the game just closes.

Is it safe to install updated Intel drivers for Ubuntu 11.10 from the following PPAs?

Intel Core i7-2640M processor (2.80GHz / 3.50GHz with Turbo Boost)

AMD Radeon HD 6630M (1GB) hybrid graphics with Intel HD Graphics 3000

Fresh install of 12.04

01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RS880 [Radeon HD 4200]

'Additional Drivers' shows ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver, and ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver (post-release updates) as not installed. ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver says it installs successfully when I try.

I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my desktop. System details shown by Ubuntu are as:

Memory: 3.8 GB Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-3220 CPU @ 3.30GHz × 4 Graphics: Unknown OS: type 32-bit

Now I don't understand why graphics is 'unknown'.
