http://stackoverflow.com – Working on another script for a beginner Linux class where I need to enter a person's username and password and return the amount of disk space they are using. I understand df -h but don't know how to tailor that based on the the inputted user info? Here is the code I have. I am not getting a return though, when I run it, I go straight to a command prompt after entering the username. echo -n "Enter the username you wish to check: "; read user #find. -user user -type f -exec du -k{} \; (HowTos)
