How do I change the GDM resolution? My underpowered Graphics card and Monitor have caused the GDM resolution be set to 800x600, and that makes all the icons and menus overlap. I want to change the resolution to 1024x768, which is capable of my PC.
I want to change picture resolution. I want to reach pictures that in gallery and change their resolution according to users' choice. For example, there is a picture has 1920*1080 resolution and 10mb size then user wants to change from 1920*1080 resolution to 860*480 resolution and at the same time picture resolution will be decreased less than 10mb. How can I do it ?
I'm using Acer laptop, Windows 7. I'd like to give the HDMI output of the laptop to an OMAP5 EVM, for some testing purpose. I can read the input resolution received, in the EVM. Currently, I'm receiving only 1920x1080p resolution. I'd like to change the HDMI out resolution to 1280x720. How do I change that?

Could anyone tell me how i can change the capture resolution for my webcam? It seems that it captures the images at 320x240 resolution while it is capable of 1280x960 at 1fps/s but i'd like a 640x480 resolution, how can i change that? I've looked at the v4l tools but i failed to find any option to do that.
Been trying to change the resolution of the tty mode (installed slackware 14 with no desktop packages).
I can select a resolution in lilo, or set in lilo.conf but it only seems to take effect initially, then halfway through the system coming online the resolution switches to what I think is the native 1280x1024.
