Change LDAP's user password as root

view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi all, I have my OpenLDAP server is up and running. The thing is some times user forget their password so I need to reset their password. However, even with root access on the server, I still can not change user's password with below error: [root@gf01 openldap]# passwd user03 Changing password for user user03. Enter login(LDAP) password: The machine requires me to input user's password which is impossible for me to change the password for them. Does any one here know what should be done under slapd.conf in order to overcome this issue? Thanks (HowTos)
