I am running Fedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle) and would like to set up a static IP address. I work with RHEL so I thought I would be able to locate a file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 but I have no such file on my system .
*installed centos 6.2 min install. I have edited files /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.i have ifcfg-eth0,eth1
I have tried to setup static but only get IPV6 address back on both adapters and cant ping anything since rest of network IPV4. I have copied my working settings from another centos 6 server i have setup and working. Not sure what to do next? I already added line to say NETWORKING_IPV6=no
