Awesome job! I'll tell you I really expected an orange bar in the middle of the blueish theme I have, but luckily that was not the case Anyway, I think I made it work in my setup with only gtk2-ubuntu and liboverlay-scrollbar. I'm running an XFCE desktop. I first installed gtk2-overlay-scrollbar, then I tried with liboverlay-scrollbar but asked me for gtk2-ubuntu.
Hey people,
I did not find an existing thread on this - I just realized that I seem to be unable to grab the overlay scrollbar with a left click - I have a Synaptics Touchpad. I can scroll in the window using the right edge of the touchpad, but when I attempt to grab the scrollbar itself, it disappears, and I end up grabbing the window edge which would resize it. Has anyone seen this issue?
I sometimes open large files with dozens of pages of text in them. However, often I find that I drag the overlay scrollbar to the top or to the bottom of the window, but I am nowhere near the beginning or the end of the document.
Currently to finish scrolling I either:
a) click the scroll button 50 times to go page by page.
My window manager is dwm, I'm running nvidia drivers, and the scrollbar bug occurs with gtk2's clearlooks, industrial, and mist themes. If you grab the scrollbar and move it very fast, the bug doesn't show itself.

I started using Linux Mint 13 Mate a few days ago and I can't find anyway to change the width of my scrollbar, no matter it is firefox, chrome or File Manager.
I tried to search google with "Linux Mint 13 scrollbar size" or "Linux scrollbar size" as keywords but the result isn't useful.
I looked up all the option in Control Center and found nothing so I doubt they have a option in Linux Mint 13.
The overlay scrollbars now can be easily switch on/off in Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal using Dconf Editor. This quick tip is going to show you how to do it.
First of all, search for and install Dconf Editor in Ubuntu Software Center
Then open Dconf Editor, navigate to com -> canonical -> desktop -> interface. See, you’ll get 4 scrollbar mode.
Hello Everyone,
As the title suggests, the scrollbars in my desktop seem to have an inconsistent theme. This is apparent in the attached screenshot. The terminal window on the right has a different scrollbar than the Firefox window on the left.
Sorry for my English mistaks, I'm Spanish.
I'm using ubuntu 11.10 in a tablet; I've removed overlay-scrollbars and I have increased the scrollbars size to use them with fingers.
