I just tried the same thing and got the same results. SO its a QT issue... I use GTK.. I do have QT for a few applications but it didn't look like it used QT...

OHHHH snap. that makes perfect sense, I remember an option that would allow you to set the second monitor to not show anything therefore eliminating that folder. Does that option still exist?
It's just a text file that you will have to create that file yourself.To figure out what needs to be put in that file , we need to identify which module controls which card.please post the output of lscpi -v .Note : the alsa-base.conf method only works if the sound outputs use different kernel modules, lspic -v will also help to determine that.
