Challenges facing Linux on the desktop

http://openswitch.org – I’ve been an avid proponent of Linux on the desktop since 2006 when I first burnt Ubuntu to a CD and booted from it. I love the philosophy, I love the community aspect and I love the degree of customization. Yet even as we look back at the past half decade and admire how far Linux has come, there are two key hurdles preventing Linux from being more widely adopted on the desktop. (Distributions)
