Linux Planet: "Canon's digital cameras, like all digital cameras, are really little computers. Certain features are enabled or disabled to justify different price points. It's all done in software, so the wizards of CHDK have created firmware to add new features (such as RAW support), and to do it safely without bricking your camera. Akkana Peck tells how in part one of this series"
Any official announcements about 128GB microSDXC card availability timeframes?
Meanwhile, would one of these approaches work?
A. Small microUSB card reader hooked up to i717, with a standard-size 128GB SDXC card.
B. Small battery-powered card reader (does such thing exist?) with a standard-size 128GB SDXC card, connected to i717 over Bluetooth.
I used to have a 64GB micro SDXC card in my mobile phone. But last week, after the phone crashed and I had to restart it hard, the SD card was not mounted anymore. The phone tried for 5 minutes but then told me I could safely remove the SD card.
So I put the SD card in the adapter and inserted it into my laptop computer, Windows 7. Nothing happened.
