I currently have the server using a self-signed SSL certificate, however I have paid for an SSL certificate and need to activate it. With the client domains, I know how to install an SSL, through the domains' user control panel, under Advanced settings where the 'SSL Certificates' option can be found.
My problem is when dealing with the server's domain itself, server.domain.com.
We just bought a certificate for files.website.com. We have installed it to the file transfer software we are using (Globalscape EFT) but are still getting an error message saying "The site's security certificate is not trusted!"
I go to view the certificate from the browser and the domain name matches exactly with the name in the certificate.
Because we have externally hosted applications by vendors under specific sub-domains (vendor1.domain.org, vendor2.domain.org...), we would like to keep single certificates for these sub-domains while having all internally hosted applications in our environment managed by a wildcard certificate under the same *.domain.org domain name but on different servers (internal1.domain.org, internal2.domain.
