I've got CentOS running a samba server. I've got a Windows 8 Professional running Hyper-V.
I'd like to store the vhd files of Hyper-V on a shared Samba folder (protected by a password). It seems that the system user of Hyper-V can't connect to that folder.
This happens occasionally with ATI VGA cards. In that case, you can certainly try with CentOS 6.2, or attempt installing CentOS 5.7 using the text installation method, or, a graphical installation ... [by milosb]

I had a CentOS home server, running Samba - which died after a local (but short) power outage. Unfortunately, I didn't run it on a UPS.
Now the CentOS box won't get on the network...
I elected to mount the hard drive in my Ubuntu desktop box, and copy off the contents... which brings me to my question.
