CentOS 5 server - repositories may not be correct

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hello, At work I've inherited a production web server that's running CentOS 5. A lot of the base commands aren't available; lscpu, fdisk, etc. When I try to install something via yum I always get "Nothing to do". I went to CentOS's website and copy and pasted the repo info and did yum clean all, but to no avail. What should I do to fix my repos so I can install base CentOS software? I'm more familiar with Debian but this seems like a similar process. Any help would be greatly appreciated (HowTos)
