Ive got a RAID 5 array setup on an Adaptec 7805. The current array is setup on conn 1 (4 disks). And ive added a new disk to conn 0. All same capacity and type. How can I expand the array on controller 1 to include the new disk ?
The adaptec configuration utility doesnt seem to allow me ?
I have a 64-bit system which has both an Adaptec 39160 SCSI PCI controller and a LSI SAS PCI-express controller - there are two SCSI disks (/dev/sda and /dev/sdb) on the Adaptec controller and four on the SAS controller (/dev/sdc, /dev/sdd, /dev/sde and /dev/sdf).

Installer worked fine - up to point where it was looking for disks to

A couple of our servers have ST32000641AS (2TB Seagate desktop drives) in RAID 10 using an Adaptec 2405 controller. I've been told by Adaptec that this is a bad idea and we have, in fact, already seen one raid system go down using these drives.
