I tried to add the printer:
HP Color LaserJet CP4020 Series Printer
but CentOS 7 must not know what driver to use.
I was able to add a brother 7050 printer (with an HP compatible driver??)
Is there a way to get a driver for the hp cp4020?
I googled for centos and this hp printer and looked on the hp driver site, but didn't find any info.
Hi, I got a bit excited today when I noticed there was a linux driver for my CM205 printer. It may have been there for ages and I just assumed that there was no driver. Who knows. Anyway, if I can connect the printer to my Centos server then life is going to be a lot easier for all the family.
I followed these instructions to install the driver.
Hi, i have some problems in connecting the printer to my pc.
In practice, I followed a guide and I'm able to install the official driver, and when the printer is connected directly to the pc works fine. If I connect to the wifi router as it serves me, in the wizard to add a new printer does not detect the drivers already installed and it proposes a list of available drivers.
So I've successfully installed the driver for SCX-4300 Samsung printer, and the instructions told me to run system-config-printer so I could add the printer to the list. When I click the 'Add' button my printer should be in the list but it isn't. Any way I could diagnose this?
I have Fedora 17, KDE. I open Printer Configuration and choose New Printer. I a CUPS server error, "There was an error during the CUPS operation: ' cups-authorization-canceled'. The printer is plugged in.
I previously added a Photosmart-C2400 sucessfully.
I am trying to install the driver for my Epson WP-4530 printer. I have just installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. My printer is connected to my home network router. The Printer install utility is able to detect the printer and find the driver for it. It recommends to instal the Epson Inkjet printer driver for Linux (Version 1.0.2).
I did something wrong when I set up Fedora 19. I got a suggestion for a printer, and I confirmed. This way of setting opp the printer does not install the driver right, so I had to install the printer via settings. Then it worked ok, but now the uncompleted setup of the printer appears beside the printer that works.
from the cmd line:
How do I see what version printer driver is installed?
How do I uninstall that driver?
How do I re-install the same or another driver?
I was happily running 12.04 with a cups driver for my Kodak ESP 5250 Aio printer. The cups driver was c2esp16 and it worked fine. When I upgraded to 14.04 the printer looks OK, it seems to print but nothing gets sent to the printer.
