I installed 11.2 on my Rock laptop. The cdrom works fine on the initial boot but fails to mount on subsequent boots, does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this problem?

My wife bought an Eee PC with pirated Win 7. I bought a new Win OS to fix her "problem" and I'm trying to boot to USB CDROM with Legal Win 7 disk. I've set the Bios to recognize CDROM as 1st boot device but every time it boots it finds the HHD first and boots to it.
I have an old sun fire v250 server that I am trying to revive.
I am trying to boot it from cdrom to install the OS (Solaris 10). The original data in the disk is corrupt and I am trying to do a new clean install. However I encounter the following errors.
I have a Zalman VE200 drive which is suppose to emulate a cdrom drive from ISOs that you load on it. It saves from having to burn a CD or even having a CDROM drive. For whatever reason, it REFUSES to boot off the Debian ISO specifically. (found here: http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/...amd64/iso-dvd/ ) Any other ISO works.
