CDE on Crunchbang - how to install?

http://crunchbanglinux.org – months ago i knew that good old classic CDE window manager were releasedhttp://sourceforge.net/projects/cdesktopenv/Did someone try to install it on Crunchbang? Or are there ready .deb packages which we can try out, like on some Ubuntu-PPA repository we could add at apt settings? (HowTos)

I'm trying to install PHP5, by compiling it myself.

I'm doing this on Crunchbang Linux, version 11. Specifically, the version using the 3.2 kernel. Crunchbang 11 is based on Debian. This is a 64-bit Virtual machine, running on a 64-bit Win7 Professional.

Crunchbang is based on Debian, not Ubuntu, and the Ubuntu Software Center can not be installed, at least not easily or, probably, not usefully.Still, welcome to Crunchbang! With a little time I'm sure you'll be able to get along fine without Ubuntu packages.

I found on Wiki these alternative installation instructions and came up with idea how to use Debian Netinstall to install #!. But I've got some doubts and questions.

Hi. I'm new to Cruchbang. In fact, I have not installed it yet, but have tried it out extensively from the live CD. Crunchbang feels really nice to me, and I want to install it on a a used Compaq desktop I just bought, and maybe on my old Dell Latitude laptop.
