CD/DVD problems

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – hey guys i am using a dual boot HP pavillion dv6000. i am running windows XP and F11 as my two residing OS in the system. intially when i have just installed F11 and its dual boot the CD/DVD drive work prefectly. I am able to see movies, wrtie DVD,s copy data from discs etc. but after few days i am not able to read data and watch movies or write data on my F11. but the cd is being detected as you will see in the image below. So the cd is being detected but i am not able to play though. It is saying a read error. and ofcourse now i cant burn cd's/dvd's ow for what happens in windows. at the same time in windows i can read but the movie and all is jerky. the reading is not done properly. and if i want to copy a file it takes hours(and i cant even copy a fle from cd to my HD in my linux machine) and writing a DVD takes about an hour..!!(cant wrtie at all when i boot my F11) this problem started after using opensuse for a year. Then i shiftes to F11 and everything was fine. but again in few days the same thing has happened. so if anybody has the solution please do pass it on. sorry for such a big description. i wanted to give you the whole information.
