CD ripping, /tmp and SSDs

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Okay, this one is really specific and I don't know if it even matters at all. But anyways, asking never hurts, right? I got a new desktop with just an SSD drive and now I'm planning to rip my ca. 300 cd collection into my NAS. Since the NAS is awkwardly located, I'll do the ripping / encoding on the desktop and transfer the files directly to the file server. Then I started to think, that obviously ripping / encoding leaves some traces of itself to the desktop, even if the files are directly ripped to the NAS. After some googling I found out that Sound Juicer and it's buddies certainly (HowTos)
