Cant SSH Solaris servers

http://www.unix.com – Hi all. Im working in a telco Environment and recently setup a new server. The other servers are a combination of Solaris + Linux machines. Using my new server , I can ping all other servers ( solaris + redhat linux ) but the issue lies where I try to ssh. I can only successfully ssh linux machines but cannot ssh any solaris machine though I can ping them. Do I need to change any configs on other machines ??? Regards (HowTos)

Hi all. Im new to programming and Unix. Want to start learning to use Solaris 11. I have 2 boxes currently and want to run an all in one Solaris Box to act as a file server, web server ect. I am setting up a exchange server, and a domain controller as guest machines in virtualbox. All machines including the host are running windows server Datacenter 2008 R2. I have my networking set to "bridged", and static ip's set in both the virtual machines, and host (but not on the network adapters).

Unable to ping Windows 1 year 17 weeks ago

Am unable to ping the Windows Box, from my Solaris Box. They both are in same LAN, have the same IP Segments.

Windows IP :: 10.141.14.120 Solaris IP :: 10.141.14.11

Unable to get why isnt working out.... When using the command 'ping 10.141.14.120', it gives the error as 'ping: Not Found'.

I'm being considered for a new Linux Server Engineer position, but I'm told by an insider that there is a little Solaris and AIX in-house.

I spend most of my time in the Debian Family, have some familiarity with the RedHat family and a few others (Slackware, etc).

I am setting up a few servers for a conference at a hotel. They have setup a separate VLAN for me and gave me 3 static IP's and a DHCP pool of 500.
