I have my preferred ringtone in /SD Card/Media/Ringtones/song.mp3
I've rebooted and rebooted the phone and used "Media Scanner" from the Play store to refresh the media on the sd card so that the system will recognize they are there. Yet the mp3 in the Ringtones folder does NOT show up in the ringtones list. At one point (when I was rooted) it showed up fine.
Hello everyone, I need an app that allows me to select a song, that I have on my SD card, as a ringtone but to only play for like 30 sec. of that song. Right now, when I have a song as a ring tone, it plays the whole song as the notification. Thanks
When I got my Galaxy Nexus over a year ago I put my custom ringtones and notifications in the /Media/Ringtones and /Media/Notifications folders, respectively, selected my ringtones and it's been working fine ever since, even after the 4.3 OTA update.
I added a few MP3's from a sound site, however some only work as ringtones but will not work as notifications. I have the two folders- Ringtones, Notifications but there is no choice to "set as" notification" only Phone ringtone, Caller ringtone or Alarm tone.
Ok, I need a little help, as this problem has me stumped.
I wanted to set a custom notification sound, so I copied 2 new mp3 files to /sdcard/media/audio/notifications. Normally this should allow me to select those sounds as notification sounds from the sound settings, but this time it didn't work (I have done it successfully before).
There seems to be differing opnions as to under what folder you need to put your mp3 or whatever other format you want to use as custom ringtone, notification etc (e.g. one says sdcard/media/audio/ringtones/ another says sdcard/ringtones) and neither worked for me.
Does anyone know how to get my own mp3s to show up under setting when I want to pick the ringtone or notification sounds?
