Ok, so I had a Prevail earlier this year, before it upgraded fron AOS 2.3.5 which was a cakewalk to root. I just bought a new one, and it's on AOS 2.3.6.
I wanna root this one as well, but my pc's monitor crapped out on me the week before buying this. Is there any way to root it via terminal or other methods without the need for a pc? Please, any help would bd appreciated.
So i am ready to root this thing. Should i do a standard root or root/flash cyanogenmod 10? As of now i havent done anything. My goal is to remove bloatware and overclock...also want ps3 controller working. I have a rooted ics phone but i dont do anything crazy. Just like the ability to control everything! & also want it to run as smooth as possible. Any advice is appreciated.
I just got my droid 3 today and currently i have tried every method of root as i speak. I used the motofail root and petes root toolkit and a few others. None of them have worked. I did research on different methodd and didnt work. I am running everything stock on my phone. The firmware version is gingerbread 2.3.4 on the ota 5.7.209 i think it is.
ok. so i had a rooted phone. no problems. then i upgraded sd card and the trouble happened. needless to say i ended up unrooting with gingerbreak(what i used to root). i verified this with root checker. all my root apps stayed on my phone tho along with superuser. i then tried to root again with gingerbreak and now it wont let me successfully root. any help is appreciated.
hello, I have installed arc in a macbook air 2008 when I set up an user by mistake I only set a non-root user and now I don not have any root access in the computermeaning I cannot do anything not even delete the non-root user or set up another userany help would be really appreciated as I am just stuck
I have flashed CF-Root 6.4 for SIII (directly from xda-developers webpage) on my Samsung S3 GT-I9300, the process finished with success, yet I have no root access and no applications are installed (confirmed also by Root Checker). I have tried it several times, using both Odin under Windows and Heimdall under Linux - the flashing is always successful but no root access granted.
I used OneClickRoot to root*my*phone*and used supersu as my super user app. I was stupid though and didn't know that I had to protect my root. So after updating to 4.1.2 I no longer have root access. When I try to use the OneClickRoot software, it says I'm already rooted. Supersu says that there is no binary installed. I'm inexperienced with*android*rooting so I'm confused on what to do.
