https://bbs.archlinux.org – After you partitioned the drive, did you put filesystems on the partitions? Follow the steps in the Beginners' Guide, and use mkfs to put filesystems on the partitions. If sda2 is your boot partition, it's not the partition you want to mount at /mnt (you should mount your root partition there).
