Hello everyone. I'm somewhat of a noob still and I would appreciate any help you could give me.
I'm trying to install the new OTA update that came out today but I'm having issues. I have a rooted One S with TWRP recovery, and everytime I try to install the OTA update it brings me to the TWRP recovery screen. I'm pretty sure this is because I don't have stock recovery.
I was advised that i needed to update my recovery to twrp from cwm recovery to avoid an issue i got while flashing roms (the contents of my sd card would get pushed down into a subfolder of a newly created set of folders) however when i wiped my phone, as i always used to do with CWM twrp seems to have wiped a lot more, its wiped the existing rom, and all the files on my card, so i cant install a
I followed this guide How to Root HTC Evo 4G LTE! [Unlock Bootloader][TWRP Recovery] | HTC Evo 4G Hacks! and got it all done and correct. I want to install CM 10.1 though and while I can do everything in TWRP, format, clear cache, dalvik cache, and install CM 10.1 and Gapps, when the phone reboots, I get the HTC splash screen but then I get a blank screen.
without knowing my phone's bootloader was unlocked by the shop in the 1st place!!!

after downloading the update, the phone shut down automatically while installing the update, and a brief recovery screen appear on the restart, the phone would still start normally but there's a notification telling me the update could not be
I am rooted, and unlocked, but when I use EZ-Recovery to flash the TWRP recovery image, it only stays until the phone is rebooted. Is this how it is supposed to work?
Basically if I open EZ-Recovery and flash TWRP then reboot to recovery its fine. After I reboot FROM TWRP back into Android, the recovery is back to stock.
My wife just bought her LTE used. She did a factory reset at the Sprint store and got it activated. She tried to run the stock update through the settings and it stated there was one available. Upon reboot it came up to the TWRP menu. I am new to TWRP, but understand its function.

-> I need HELP!!!
I was planning to flash Jelly but decided that I'm happy with ICS and liam wilng to wait for the OTA update. What's the process for preparing for the OTA update?
The method I used to root the phone was I believe the easy one click root debugfs-root. I used EZ-Unlock to unlock the bootloader. I also installed EZ-Recovery. Thanks.
I have a rooted S3 with CWM at my recovery image and the OTA update came out and everytime i try to update, the update downloads but when the phone reboots into recovery/download mode, it fails right there and doesnt install the update.
