Every time i try to download something from the software center it gives me this error message

I´am playing with Software Center's API, after seeing this post on askubuntu.
My question is: how can I get a list of all Ubuntu Software Center's apps?
From the other question I get this endpoint for retrieving all apps: http://software-center.ubuntu.com/api/2.0/applications/any/ubuntu/any/any/
But the problem is it looks like it only returns 580 apps.
But on appnr.com it seems their a lot m
Edit: It occurs to me I was too lazy with asking this question. For the past several months, I have been getting a system error that does not "break" the system but indicates software properties has timed out. I cannot get software sources to run as an application. sources.list opens and seems fine.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 dual boot on an Vista Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. Everything was running smoothly until I tried to install Cheese through the Software Center. After the attempted installation of Cheese, the app would not load and any attempt to open Software Center to load would cause it to crash.
