I have an Asus M51Se (- AP115), and I can't install linux on it. It came with a sloppy vista, and I'm trying to get F10 running on it. Just takes me to black screen... Any ideas? Or.. Help? :rolleyes:

I want to install linux fedora core 8 on already vista installed machine.I do not want to keep vista.
So what i did i format vista using vista bootable installer cd as the linux cd was not
stepping to the right place for format and parttioning screen. After doing this way of formatting i did reached to that step but now when
I got an acer aspire 4310 with vista pre installed.
I installed fedora 10 on the D:/ drive by setting the D:// drive as free space within vista and then installed fedora 10. So now I have dual boot vista and fedora using grub.
How can I delete vista and install Fedora 12 on that C:// partition and be able to keep and boot my fedora 10.
I am trying to install Linux on Lenovo Ideapad Z575 (AMD).
When I run Ubuntu or Fedora from a LiveCD, I got some initial screens (purple screen with small icon for Ubuntu, some information screen from Fedora), and then.... nothing. For Ubuntu, I have a black screen, although I hear the Ubuntish sound when the login screen appears.
Hi guys, I am a complete noob.... heres my situation, I have installed fedora 11 on my desktop computer last night. I am trying to dual boot windows vista ultimate and fedora 11. My hard drive is 250 gb and I have aloted 200 gb for vista and the rest to linux which is an unpartitioned space.
