Hello all I have recently purchased a samsung galaxy ace 2, and wish to root it so i can install clock work recovery so i can install a custom ROM.
I have followed guides about using odin to install a stock rooted ROM or rooted kernel, but i cannot seem to get odin to work this is causing me alot of frustration.
Alright, so i soft bricked my phone is what the internet is telling me. the phone turns on but stops at the opening samsung screen with the unlock symbol on it. i can get into odin mode, and recovery, but i have a locked recovery. I went to flash a rom to my stock slot which is what the forum said to do so i did it.
hey guys hope someone can help. i tried to return my gs3 to stock after rooting it and putting a rom on it, so i used odin and i downloaded the stock tar file from the stock rom thread, and all seemed to go alright but when it rebooted in got stuck on the samsung screen. it shows the sprint bootup thing and galaxy s3 but then gets stuck on samsung screen.
The phone is a i535, initially I used invislbeks (spelling?) root and unlock method but ran into a bootloop I could not get out of. I tried factory reset and it would still loop. So I did a little reading and used Odin to flash the stock F1 tar.md5. This allowed me to boot the phone however now I'm stuck in factory mode.
Good afternoon everyone! While I was trying to flash a new ROM on my phone with CMW Recovery, it failed and wiped out my phone, it wiped out my phone without installing the new ROM. I was trying to flash CM 11. So I tried my second attempt to flash the ROM, but I though I had to install CMW Recovery again. So when I tried to install the recovery.img file with Odin3.
