Hey every one, I'm fairly new to Linux, Gnome and it all but Im starting to get the hang of it all but to my question...
I know when you click or move your mouse to the top left corner of the "Activities" button you get the full screen nice application start thingy.. I like it and all but recently I came across "Axe Menu".
So this is a weird little issue I've come across.I bought a new mouse and when I first used it and installed the drivers for it (its a cyborg RAT7 Gaming mouse) I was logged into my windows partition. The last time I booted into chakra my old mouse was working fine. So, the next time I booted into Chakra, I could not right click on the desktop but could left click and drag to group icons
I'm using a modified Ambience theme (found in the Ambience-colors package, here: http://www.webupd8.org/2012/01/download-ambiance-and-radiance-themes.html ) and the right-click menus of the Ambiance colored themes are white, just like the original Ambiance theme on 12.04 (but there are mods for that one)
How can I change the color of the right-click menu to black with the Ambiance-color theme?
I have some strange mouse behavior going on with compiz enabled... I can navigate the application menu and click on apps to open them. But it doesn't work when I press the mouse key inside the app unless I first hold down the CTRL or ALT keys.
When I left click inside an app without holding down the ALT or CTRL key, the mouse pointer changes to a hand and I can drag the app around the screen.
Hi I just found out to use alt+super+right click to add/remove items from gnome panel in 12.04 classic. However after tweaking compiz and emerald this no longer works I can mouse click all I want and no menu appears. I think the combination of emerald and compiz block it somehow.
Is there a way to disable compiz/emerald and make my panel the way I want it?
Axe menu is a gnome shell(3.2 and 3.4) extension.
I am running Fedora 17 gnome (shell) 3 and gnome terminal 3.4.1.1.
I am a user of both gnome-terminal and midnight commander. As default gnome-terminal has always used F10 (which I need while using mc), to opening the top menu. So was this time.
When I boot up or log into gnome-classic (no effects), windows don't have the frame around them that has the minimize and close buttons and all that. After that, there all sorts of issues - for example, when I open a new window, it's in the very top left corner, obscuring the menu on the gnome panel...
Running 12.04 LTS. This is extremely annoying and makes me want to try another flavor of linux. Yes, this little inconvenience is THAT annoying to me. Most of the time the launcher will appear nice and easy as soon as I mouse over the upper left corner, but many times, the left edge of the screen will get a little darker, but the launcher will not appear.
