My system was fine till I installed the Nvidia driver.
Now the display resolution has changed to 640x480

I just did a fresh installation of Oneiric Ocelot 11.10 on my Acer Aspire One 753 laptop, which on its own seems to be working correctly.

System=>preferences=>Display
is says the display is unknown.
now it has 1024x768 resolution but it is made for 1366x768.

Hello,
I have a strange problem. My native resolution is 1366X768, yet every time I restart, the resolution always starts up as 1024X768 without being stretched out -- it has thick black borders on the side. How do I make it remember to start up at the resolution I want?
Hi, I recently purchased a new widescreen monitor with a resolution of 1366x768. I've installed the latest NVidia beta driver, however it does not correctly detect the resolution of my monitor. I am running a twinview setup alongside another 1280x1024 LCD.
