I have tried MITM on my own network using ettercao, but the program just didn't detect anything. I switched to using arpspoof and sslstrip, but the same thing happens.
Hi all,
i'm trying some arpspoofing on my home network in this days, but i've a problem that i'm unable to solve.
I use a wireless router, and i have a Mac pc with a vmware virtual machines where is installed the Backtrack 5, and a Windows pc.
Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section mods.
I've been trying to get my computer to become dns spoofed. My attacker is a MBP running VMware Fusion 5 with BT5 R3 with a USB Alfa. I can crack my network fine, but when I try to arpspoof/dnsspoof my desktop, it just gives me a DOS. Here's the funky part.
I am sniffing on my super hub router with my Alfa network (chipset RTL8187) and using Backtrack 5 dual boot.
I have yet to see http packets in wireshark, only SSDP and ARP packets and even when I try ettercap -G (etter config edited) I only see TCP packets.
I have put my wireless on monitor mode and tried with and without Mon0 yet I see no useful packets.
I have also tried driftnet and I see no
Here are the commands I use:
arpspoof -i wlan0 -t 192.168.1.66 192.168.1.254
sslstrip -a
ettercap -T -q -i eth0
But nothing else gets printed such as the packets or requests. I'm not sure what to do... I have a compatible wireless card.
airmon-ng
Interface driver chipset
wlan0 RTL8187 rtl8187 [phy0]
Please help?
