http://www.linuxquestions.org – I am trying to set up an FTP server that can be accessed from the outside world on my gateway. I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 as the gateway, with shorewall as the firewall. I can log into my ftp server from the local network but not from the WAN. I have all the proper ports forwarded on the router, but the box just doesn't seem to like the idea. Whenever I try to connect I get: ftp: connect: Connection timed out ftp> Shorewall file is: #For FTP FTP/ACCEPT net $FW tcp 20 FTP/ACCEPT net $FW tcp 21 Also tried (HowTos)
