I am using 12.04. It was absolutely fine two days ago. But now all my excitement is turned into frustration. I can't open Facebook, Yahoo, Hotmail, Dailymotion and many other websites although many other websites just work fine and even I don't have any problem in downloading. My gmail account has no problem and other websites are fine.
I have just installed the netbook version of Ubuntu on my Acer Aspire One. Most websites work fine - google, BBC news etc but I find that facebook won't load and I am unable to post on some forums.
Has anyone seen anything similar to this?
Since there were no specific forum for this, I decided to post this here. I'm trying download and install Ubuntu on my Chromebox. However, both websites I have tried are "ready only." I will admit I may be doing it wrong. Are there any other websites I can use or anything on Google Code?
OK so I'm new to Crunchbang, It seems that normal websites are fine however multimedia rich websites seem to just close, On firefox I would go to lets say the Simpsons to watch full episodes and then firefox would just close or i also tried msnbc news- it just closes- Any Ideas why?
On a Gentoo 3.2.12 server with apache2+php, there are several websites running:
/www
/website1
/website2
...etc
The apache user should have read-only access to all the websites. There are also a few folders inside each website where apache should have read-write access (upload folders and the like).
There are several people who work on these websites.
I have recently downloaded and installed Freenet and I2P but have been unsuccessful in using these two programs to access websites such as facebook and youtube. Can anyone provide some guidance as to how to use these programs to connect to websites that would otherwise be unavailable? Thank you.

I have just installed Ubuntu 12.04 and have set up my DSL connection for internet. All the google sites - google, gmail, blogspot etc work absolutely fine, but the rest wont open. I tried using google's DNS servers 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, but still noting worked. Please help me in sorting this thing out

Hi all,
I have a script set to run at startup that flushes all iptables. The flush works fine, and if I were to stop the script at that point I would get unrestricted internet access. However I added a few lines to it to try to get it to whitelist some websites by IP.
