I was wondering to have a Canon DSLR camera to satisfy my hobby of photography. But actually I am a Nikon users. I read in my lovely magazine, there is a short review and comparison of some Macro lens for Canon. And the most advanced and best choice is Canon EF 100mm 1:2,8 Macro USM.

Well, I have a canon PowerShot A3100 IS, and I have some problems while importing videos. When I try to copy them, it simply doesn't work, and when I try to import them, it starts buging, and it crashes the pc.

Does anyone know a better software for importing videos/pictures from a camera, or do I need to install a driver ?

Hi. When I plug my camera (canon powershot sx130) in via usb it doesn't get recognized by the system. In digikam the import menu remains grayed out and in picasa it does not show up on the import screen's list of devices.

I'd love to troubleshoot this and track down the issue but I'm at a loss as to where to start.

In Lubuntu 12.04, what is the best method to upload pics from my Canon Powershot A520-A510 camera? Do I need to install an app? If so, which app do you recommend. I am new to Linux, and presently settled on Lubuntu.
