http://forum.xda-developers.com – I have a samsung galaxy s and have been trying to put icecream sandwhich on it and for some reason when I put it in recovery it does not let me install packages and i read faqs how to install ICS they say use nandroid backup but mine will not show up on the recovery. Also kies mini which it says i need for my phone claims im on the most current version.... I have no firmware My phone is rooted and unlocked to at&t. the specs for my phone are model number sgh-t959 firmware version 2.2 basband version t959uvkb5 kernel version 2.6.32.9 build number froyo.uvkb5 (HowTos)

I have this Samsung galaxy s blaze 4g. Its an unlocked phone from USA and I am presently using it in India.

I wanted to update the same to ICS from the default gingerbread OS.

How do I go from stock Froyo (Firmware version: 2.2.1) to stock GB (Firmware version: 2.3.6) on and already rooted phone!?!?

So my dad won a Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 plus from some competition in Nigeria and sent it to me seeing as I live in the UK. I took out the Nigerian sim and put a T-mobile sim card in .I believe the Tablet is wifi+3G with calling capabilities.

When connected to kies, under firmware information I see this "Current firmware version:PDA:KL9/ PHONE:KL7 / CSC:KL2(ECT)".

I've just managed to root my SGS, but I really would like flash custom kernel to get the voodoo sound and maybe if there is one that makes phone even faster, it would also be cool. I've found this list of custom kernels: Download/Flash Galaxy S/SGS Custom Kernels But it says in every one of them that firmware 2.3.4 is highly recommended, but mine is only 2.3.3. What should I do?

Hello Friends, I have a Samsung I5500 Phone which i bought 3-4 years ago.

Now, this has a very old version of android. The phone works fine for basic calls and messaging. The issues are the battery does not last long on 3g. On Usage of every 15 minutes of 3g/2g. The phone hangs.
