Hello. I am running Ubuntu 10.10 as two options 1) VMWare under Linux (using Physical Driver) 2) Dual Boot with Windows Now, the idea is great, access my Linux from Windows, and use Unity!!!
Given that xorg-server 1.13 has been released almost two weeks ago, when can we expect it in the repositories? The xorg-server-dev AUR package builds succesfully, but since there is an ABI update, all xf86-{video,input}- drivers needs to be rebuilt as well.No insult intended, but are you scary to upgrade to 1.13 or simply lacking time?
Wow, that thing is ooooooooold There are no xorg-apps and xorg-drivers packages in Arch, are you sure you're not using Gentoo ? Anyway, you want the xf86-video-mach64 driver. I don't know if X will pick it up automatically.
The following packages will be REMOVED:
xorg xserver-xorg xserver-xorg-input-all xserver-xorg-input-evdev
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics xserver-xorg-input-wacom xserver-xorg-video-all
xserver-xorg-video-apm xserver-xorg-video-ark xserver-xorg-video-ati
xserver-xorg-video-chips xserver-xorg-video-cirrus xserver-xorg-video-fbdev
xserver-xorg-video-i128 xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-
When I've upgraded to xorg-server-1.13.1 keyboard stopped functioning.
I then downgrade to xorg-server-1.12.4 and xorg-drivers-1.12 and it works now.
What's the problem?
UPDATE 1
My USE flags for both xorg-server and xorg-drivers below:

Looks like post-install is configured to use vesa instead of vmware, so vmware module is deleted. Maybe hardware detection just can't detect vmware. I use Workstation 9.0.1.
