I'm trying to start Secure socket tunneling protocol service on my VPS. My VPS has 1GB RAM, 1 CPU and Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter edition.
I've tried using Services Application, and net start command. Both fails. Here are the error messages:
I rebooted the VPS, but still starting that service fails.
What is the problem?
When I try to start service via Services console I get the following error:
Windows could not start the %servicename% service on %hostname%.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control
request in a timely fashion.
When trying to start service from Command line via NET START this error message appears:
The service is not responding to the control function.

We have restored our active directory from a backup and now exchange won't start for some reason. The service that won't start is the Microsoft Exchange Information Store. It comes up with this message: Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start..
I am guessing this has something to do with permissions but am not really sure where to start looking.
I have been trying for several hours to get to the desktop in Wheezy (amd64 and i386) on Virtualbox but when I execute: startx i just get a slightly different looking prompt.
Do I have to do something before I can access X?

I am using fedora 15, a couple of days ago Spamassassin quit working.
This is the error I get when trying to start it:

Ok so clearly the question should answer itself. We have installed some updates on our SBS server and upon restart our entire VPN setup is broken. I have been trying to troubleshoot the error as much as possible but haven't found a solution yet.
Whenever I open up the Routing and Remote Access MMC it basically shows that the VPN setup is disable.
Hi,
When I tried to start httpd using systemctrl I got error that it failed to start the service. Below is the log when I fired journalctl -n
Quote:
]# service httpd start
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl start httpd.service
Job for httpd.service failed.
I try to find a smart solution to start a systemd service (pluto.service) after desktop loads.
The service launch a GUI application (myprogram) as user pippo.
you should have got an error somewhere when enabling "kde.service," because that service doesn't exist. KDE's login manager is kdm. you should dosystemctl enable kdm.serviceinstead.
