Cannot see my shared external CIFS folder in all application

http://askubuntu.com – I'm not new on linux and ubuntu but that "problem" persist from many years.. not for me but a lot of people that don't have big knowledge.. just simple user that don't have to know about terminal command.. Example: If a normal/newbie Ubuntu user would like to connect to his share folder on a external NAS or Windows computer, he can from Nautilus via "Connect to server". But because it use GVFS, the mount point will only be visible in GNOME application, not the rest (save a email/attachment from Thunderbird to the mount point, save a image from Firefox, ...) This is a big problem because for (HowTos)
