Every time I send Chinese text messages, people can receive it, but when people send me Chinese messages, all I see it *** instead of 你好吗? All Chinese texts replace the hanzi (characters) for ******* asterisks. It really bothers me that I can't read characters.
Anyone know how to fix this? is this even fixable? is it a Metro issue?
When displaying japanese text in a textview, android defaults to using a chinese font, showing the wrong characters, exemplified here. Setting the locale to japanese works on the emulator, but doesn't work on my galaxy s3, probably because it doesn't support Japanese.
Hi,I am new with Cent-OS and I've installed it in net install mode. For some reason I need to do some work in text mode but it seems not support Chinese characters. Is there any idea or ... [by koori]
Hello, I have a java application that originally runs in Windows, and the UI doesn't have any problem in displaying Chinese and Japanese. But now on Fedora, in a JPanel, I can't type Chinese or Japanese (broken characters).
Then, I tried JTextPane.setFont(...) for a Chinese font, it displays correctly.
I don't know what happened; before, when I imported japanese text or wrote japanese via ibus into any libreoffice application, it would show correctly. Now, for some reason, it doesn't work and it only shows boxes rather than characters. In Libreoffice calc, I do see the actual Japanese text (btw, I do have the language installed on my system).
Looking for some assistance on font configuration with Asian fonts, specifically, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. I have installed 1 or 2 TTF fonts for each respective language. However, for instance, Chinese is not displaying with the same font across.
google has done a great job. I test japanese, chinese and english speech-to-text, and they all work really well.if you are smart, you can create a notebook program with my "speech-to-text". At least I got it to work with vim and secretly took notes in class.

I bought a android phone with a 2.3.6 on it. I am not sure what brand of phone it is, it just says ebest. The person that helped me purchased it changed the language to english for me. However, a lot is still in chinese. I am afraid sometimes that I am hitting the wrong thing.
I need to be able to use it in china. I wanted text messaging, but I keep getting text messages in chinese.
thanks!
