HI
I have installed F17 on a new Acer Laptop that belongs to my wife. Release 17 (BeefyMiracle) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.5.3-1.fc17.x86_64 GNOME 3.4.2. At what appears to be random times the Wifi connections drops. A reboot brings it back but what could be causing this dropping of the wireless connection?
I'm been having problems keeping a steady connection with my Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter. It will drops down to 1mb/s and then randomly will go back up to 150mb/s
I had stumbled upon the fix once before but I just cant seem to find it this time.
this is what I got from lspci
08:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc.
I recently installed xfce4 with a wired connection and used the newly updated install cd ISO. After using the wired connection to install what I needed I went on to install what is needed for the wireless setup. I went with wpa_supplicant and networkmanager. I configured my wpa_supplicant.conf appropriately and installed the drivers needed for my atheros wireless adapter.
Just recently installed Crunchbang Waldorf on my Acer Aspire One 722. My problem is that it will not connect to any local wireless networks. Two here are open, and one is secured (I forget the protocol). Upon selecting them in nm-applet it will spin for a while then show "The network connection has been disconnected", stop, then resume the cycle.
I'm Beginner in BT5 . Some one help me
