Hi all,
I wanted to upgrade FocusWriter 1.3.5.1 (from the repository) to 1.3.5.2 (from a PPA) on Xubuntu.
I'm running 12.10 and relatively new to Linux.
I have some software in .iso format that I need to mount and install. I first mounted it using Furius ISO mount. I then went to the terminal and went to the directory with the install file (which we'll call 'install).
Permissions are set by:
Code:
-r-xr-xr-x
so it should be fine to run.
Long story short, I was installing something via "sudo apt-get" and accidentally closed the terminal window that was doing it.
Now, apt-get install doesn't work, and apparently it's some issue to do with "libc6", as I get the following end-of-output after trying to install something:
Code:
E: Unmet dependencies.
Linux newbie, but not ignorant.
Hello. I wonder how to install qmake in Fedora 17. I think I need qmake to compile qpdfview from sources. The "qmake" is something like "make", right?

Sorry I know already. I should have used "qmake-qt4" instead of "qmake".

It says that "sudo yum install gstreamer-plugins bad;sudo yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly is an ivalid command, so I copy/pase it into the terminal, and lo and behold, it works.
