hi,
I've been playing around with opensuse and have decided to install it. Before I do though, I have a question: is it possible to install opensuse over debian? When I started the installer, it gave me a choice of strinking my windows partition but I don't want to do that. Right now here's how my hard drive is split up:
Bought a new HP laptop for Christmas, with 500G HD. Thought I'd be able to use a chunk for OpenSUSE.
Alas, HP has already created four partitions on the drive, so even though there's plenty of room, there's no space in the partition table.
I plan to install OpenSUSE as my main operating system.
However, before proceeding with the installation I want to clarify one problem I think I might face. My disc is partitioned into 2 parts- a) C: being my primary partition and b) D: containing all my important files. Both the partitions are NTFS.
Hi,
I have been running 11.1 on this laptop for a year and hibernate worked great on that. I recently installed (not upgraded) 11.2. now when i try to hibernate, i get the suse hibernate screen up, the progress bar counts down some (maybe about %20) and then it seems to hang. I have to power off and start back up.

Hi Guys,
I'm new to Linux, I've been trying OpenSUSE Linux on live CD and I grew more and more fond of it and finally decided to install it onto an old computer that's running Win X P.
I followed the installation Quickstart guide using the default options, including the proposed partition shrinking scheme.
Hi,I couldn't hibernate Windows, when I tried to the computer locks up. But I fixed it executing "diskmgmt.msc" and marking the C: partition as active. Now I can hibernate, but when I power on the computer I can't see syslinux boot screen.
Hello,
I did shrinking of windows drive to give 10 gb raw space for OpenSuSe 11.2 installation on my T60 laptop.
OpenSuSe installer failed to create partitions out of single 10 gb RAW partition.
Is there any other way to slice single RAW partition in to / , /home & swap?
Regards,
AmeY.
This doesn't make any sense other than the xmlrpc for openSuSe isn't working. I'm running openSuSe 11.2 (php 5.2.10) and Windows Xp Pro (php 5.2.11) in a VBox. I'm using "Filter Default 6.x-1.x-dev" and I have Drupal installed on my windows exactly as my openSuse. Both use the same MySql Database.
