Open a command prompt and use `ls -la` on the file and the link in question and paste the results here if you cannot work out what to do with them after seeing that. [by TrevorH]
This question already has an answer here:
How to submit a file to paste.ubuntu.com without graphical interface?
Whenever I was to store something to show someone here, I run
command-with-output | pastebinit.
That returns the link to the paste online.
I am looking for the quickest way to send URLs and short Text in general from my Laptop to Desktop or vice verse.
A lot of the time I am browsing on my Laptop near my Desktop then find a URL which I wish to open on my Desktop (more screen estate)
My usual methods(all of them cumbersome):
Open empty file in dropbox
Wait for Sync
Open File on PC
