I have a problem trying to connect with our network webdav share on mac osx. I can connect from windows, so it's working. On Mac OSX I have set the routes, and I can connect when using "Transmit" but not with "Mac Finder" or any other webdav client for mac so it's not a network or login problem, but a problem with the applications.
Nautilus 3.6.3Even though Nautilus is _supposed_ to be able to connect to WebDAV servers, as here:WebDAV and Secure WebDAVBased on the HTTP protocol used on the web, WebDAV is sometimes used to share files on a local network and to store files on the internet. If the server you're connecting to supports secure connections, you should choose this option.

Hi everyone. I am sorta a noob with Linux.
I have 3 computers. One running windows XP pro SP3. One running Windows 7 Ultimate and one running OpenSuse 11.2.
I used to have suse 11.1 and samba worked perfectly fine.
Both the windows 7 and XP boxes can browse each other on the network perfectly with no problems.

I have recently spun up a new Ubuntu 12.04 instance in AWS. I had no issues connecting to and opening an SSH terminal to the server. Having connected to the instance, I was able to install the Ubuntu desktop and FreeNX without any problem, as well as enabling password authentication on the server instance.
I downloaded and installed the NX Client for Windows on a PC running Windows 8.
I use Ubuntu 12.10. When I want to register for a service in some website, a messagebox appears saying "Please use Internet Explorer to use this item". The webdesigner assumes all users use Ms windows!
Is there any way this bypass this false assumption in Ubuntu?
I have Wine installed but I couldn't find it's explorer.
Microsoft's three-day conference for web designers and developers -- MIX -- has just begun in Las Vegas. After a rather odd yo-yo-based introductory fanfare, details about Microsoft's upcoming products have already started to emerge.
I just installed Ubuntu on my laptop and I am running Windows 7 alongside of it. On Windows 7 I have Internet Explorer and Google Chrome which work and I can connect to the internet through them but when I switch operating systems and try connecting through Firefox on Ubuntu it doesn't work: it says "server connection not found" or something.
How can I connect to the internet on Ubuntu?
