Cannot add new mode in xrandr for external monitor

I have a laptop, and i whant 1366*768 resolution.

I am trying to configure my laptop to behave correctly when dealing with video output. It has a connector for a base that features extra video outputs. Such hardware is detected and available in the display configuration, while I do not own such base and do not plan on getting one.

Hi,

I'm running into an issue when trying to set up my dual monitors with 12.04. I'm using Unity with Lightdm, and my second monitor (with desired 1920x1080 resolution) is only 640X480! Also, the second monitor is completely white with a black x for a cursor.

Whenever I come to work I type

xrandr --auto xrandr --output VGA1 --right-of LVDS1

This gets my second display working, however now I get

xrandr: cannot find crtc for output VGA1

For reference here is the output of xrandr,

My video card is a gtx 680 and I'm using Fedora xfce spin 17.

Here is my xrandr output:
