can rooting mess up my ability to send/receive mms messages?

http://androidforums.com – Okayim on Alltel and I've rooted my phone, well today I noticed I can neither send or receive moms messages, but I can receive SMS and can browse the web over 3g but when sending an moms it hangs and never sends, could rooting cause this? And if so how do I fix it? Is there a market app where I can alter my APN settings? As my alltel phone has the APN settings hidden I believe. (General)

I cannot receive the same text message (yes, no, ok, good morning, etc.) more than once from the same person without deleting their entire thread. My husband, daughter, and I all have the Motorola Razr Maxx HD and we all have the same issue. We also had this same issue with our old Motorola Milestone Xs.

I am having an odd issue, and Google searches have been fruitless thus far. Ever since I have updated my Note to ICS, every 3 to 4 weeks I will randomly lose the ability to receive SMS messages. Just like that. No warning, no change in my phone habits or behavior. In order to restore my ability to receive SMS messages again, I have to do a Factory Data Reset.

If this is a dumb question I apologize. I've had the original HTC Incredible for the last two years and just got a Samsung Stratosphere yesterday.

Does this phone require you to have the data connection on constantly in order to be able to send/receive pics by text? I am not able to send/receive pictures by text unless I have the data connection on.

i have a rooted zte running custom rom and i can not sent or receive pic messages i have wiped re installed everything please help

So my awesome unlocked HTC One just came in today. I went to my local AT&T store and was able to activate voice and data, however, I am not yet able to receive or send text messages. I came from an iPhone 4S and read that some people had issues with iMessage.

Text message center full 6 weeks 2 days ago

So, if the text msg center is full, will that mean the phone will no longer send or receive msgs? And if so, how the heck can I tell when its full besides the ability to send and receive msgs stops? The reason I ask is because I had an issue today Where my nexus 4 decided to stop sending texts. It was frustrating because I was busy all day and didn't realize nothing was going through.

Hope this is the right place to put this. Technically a phone counts as hardware, I think.

I'd really like my Nokia X7 to work with Ubuntu.

What absolutely must work:

I want to receive texts on my computer and send texts from my computer through the phone.

This seems like a no-brainer, but I'm not finding anything like what I want. Is there an app that aggregates all your messages and handles them in one place? By that I mean a single app that lets you send and receive emails, and also send and receive text messages? BB took a step towards that with it's message center, but never fully integrated it.

Hi i have the g2x. i have the v21Y, 2.3.4 Version. Latest Baseband. i have flashed all roms there is for the g2x all of them can't receive text messages. i can send but i can't receive, it only works if i am connected to the wifi and wifi calling is on. Please help. Thank You.
