I'm going to implement a dynamic ListView: By spending little time, ListView will populate more items from a local file when you are scrolling downward.I used technique like this to implement such dynamic list:http://mobile.dzone.com/news/android-tutorial-dynamicaly
Problem: Number of Items to be displayed is too large.
i have a listview that populate data from server, my problem is before it populate data in listview it loads 3 secs, how to separate the loading of the data to listview so that if apps is open the listview populate a default primary data and after loading automatic set the server data to listview so that the loading stage canot be seen because of the temporary data is displayed first?
I develop an Android Application which has a ListView in the MainActivity
The data for populating the ListView comes from a URL returning JSON data
I want to "cache" the ListView items as long as possible (depending on the cache control header of the URL resource), which means that I do not want to reload the ListView data (from the external URL) each time the user goe
I have a database (db) from I get values (name, email address, phone number. etc) which I put in a list and displayed in a ListView. If I click on an item can I get the whole data from clicked item? Because I need ex. email address to send email. Can I extract from the item the data, because when get data from database is in a "Client" type.
My current application has a Listview which pulls and displays data from a sqlite DB. Data in the first column of the DB is displayed in the listview and when clicked, an activity starts showing the rest of the column associated with the first column. When the data is edited, the DB updates but the listview does not show the updates unless the application is restarted.
