I want to go back to an older Ubuntu but when I try to boot from a cd 11.10 somehow overrides and always boots up.
I have tried from cd & usb stick.
i wanted to try ubuntu, and made a bootable Memory stick and the ubuntu installer and try ubuntu works just fine. But now ubuntu or something overrides my macs boot menu and I do not know how to get back to my mac os.
Fedora 20 system has a USB stick used to back up important files nightly.
When I reboot the system it does not find the USB stick. If I then pull the stick out and plug it back in, the system finds it and calls it /dev/sdg. How can I make it find the stick on boot?
Or, how can I make the system find the stick after boot without unplug/plug?
Command line or config file answers preferred.
