http://www.linuxforums.org – I've been trying, for days, to connect my Ubuntu laptop to my WinXP network. I can connect to the internet via my router, I can even ping my WinXP PC, but I can't connect to the drive or shared files. I think I may have screwed up the smb.conf file. What's more, since I'm new, as of this week, to Linux, I'm quite likely to screw it up again. So does anyone out there have an smb.conf file configured for connecting to a Windows XP PC? Can you paste it here? It might help. Thanks, Jesse (HowTos)
