How do you tell if there's an application running in the background that you don't know about?:confused:
My reason for asking is that a couple of times now my HTC Evo V G4 has become very hot, which causes the battery to drain rather quickly.
Yesterday it happened while I had it sitting in the sleep mode on the table. I didn't know it until I went to make a phone call.
In the past two months or so (I've had the phone for seven) the phone just randomly turns off (maybe 1-2 times per week) and when i reboot it, the battery has dropped sharply (from anywhere between 10 and 70%) within the space of minutes being off. It's legitimate battery loss as well - It takes the same time to recharge the battery back to where it was.
Hey guys, back with another issue with my father's phone. So this has just recently been happening. His phone will shut off out of no where only when he used the internet or uses an app like facebook or the camera. He can only browse the internet for a couple minutes and it shuts off. When he tries to turn it back on, it says to connect it back to the charger. But the battery was like at 80%.

I unlocked my phone, rooted it and installed Fish n Chips ROM.
My phone seems to have very poor battery life. I fully charged it to 100%, unplugged it, played a game for a very short while and I lost 10% battery withint 10-15 mins.
The battery just seems like a time bomb that doesn't last very long at all.
I've only had the phone 2 days now...
...im running a stock 2.2.2 optimus 3d. I factory reset it last month after my wifi had issues. I have 17 apps from Google play downloaded. As well as a 16 gig SD card. My phone will randomly shut off 3-4 times a day. Usually under heavy usage. I game text surf etc. During standby I get great battery life. The min I use regular to heavy the battery just drains in a blink of an eye.
Hi everyone, a while ago my phone's battery started draining very, very quickly. Even with the screen off pretty much all the time and no apps running, the battery drained within 3 to 4 hours or so. So I bought a new, 3500mah battery (old one was around 1400). This increased the battery life but it still drained for no reason. I updated my ROM several times but it didn't fix it.
I'm using latest XWLPX firmware and it have been working fine and now suddenly the battery icon keeps flashing, I can't see any battery stats, the battery percentage dont go down and when I reboot my phone it drops from 80% to less than 20%.

I recently ran into this problem after I woke one morning to my alarm clock blaring for about half an hour, the phone was pretty hot but not unbearably hot. I took out the battery and left the phone to cool down til trying to boot again, when I did the phone booted fine but it soon shut off again 5-10 seconds into loading into android.
