http://forum.xda-developers.com – Hello fellow xda members, Today I was flashing my i9000 from android 4.0.4 (team ICSSGS) To CM10. Camera was not working too well at the 4.0.4, (this was the main reason to flash to CM10. After flashing CM10 it gave immediate "camera not responding" messages when opening the camera. So then i flashed back to android 2.3.5 XXJVT. Here the camera was actually booting, but it was only giving a black screen. Making pictures would crash it. The front camera, however, does work normally. After that i tried a CWM backup to an very old samsung rom. This didn't restore it either... (HowTos)

Stories similar to Camera black, broken software.

I rooted my phone a while back and immediately flashed euroshank's Jellybro CM10. Since then my camera has stopped responding. When I reboot it will open the app once but when I take a picture it freezes and saves a totally black picture to my gallery. It also says "gallery not responding" but I can still open the gallery app.

I'm running CM7.2 with the stock CM kernel and no CPU tweaks.

About a week ago my camera just up and stopped working, "Activity camera (in application camera) is not responding".

So I bought this broken HTC EVO 4G LTE on ebay and seller described that the phone fell of his pocket while riding a motorcycle and so the glass and digitizer broke (which doesn't matter for now), he also said that the Main/Rear camera stop working after a week of the accident.

I read a post here saying that cm10.1 has Hdr in its camera. I thus flashed cm10.1 but still I can't get the Hdr settings in the camera. How do I activate it?

Hello I'm running CM10.1 (unofficial) on HTC One X, endeavoru I flashed a .zip of android 4.2 photosphere camera, and it works great except..you can't use the front facing camera for pictures, only for video recording. Which is pretty weird Anyway is there any way for me to 'unflash' that camera a without losing my current ROM/settings? Thanks

Hi good afternoon, I have red some forums for my SGT p1000, but never found answer to my question.

I have tried several ROM (4.04, 4.1.1) but still can't find the one with good camera. While opening the camera, it always crashed "Camera not responding". Also, tried some application from Google Play as advised in other forums but they still failed.

I have flashed the CM10 Rom, form a stock Rom(LJ7 HK)

but when i open the camera, it show the dialog "Camera error: Can't connect to the camera" even i try to install another camera app, the dialog appear again...><

can somebody tell me how to fix this problem?

My phone is turned on for hours, then i was going to use my camera. When i tap on my camera icon , my camera just show a black screen and a notice saying "Camera failed", anybody here knows why?

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a camera that well-supports tap to focus?

I'm usually back and forth between CM9 and CM10 and I use either the stock Camera in Cyanogen or Camera ICS+ and neither of them seem to support tap-to-focus.
